Charlotte wins Gold for England U18s!

Charlotte won gold at the weekend playing for England U18s in the UK School Games at Loughborough University. In the multi-sport event, the hockey tournament consisted of sides from England, Scotland, Ulster, and Wales. In a round robin format, England beat Scotland 6-1 on day one. On day 2 it was a 2-2 draw with Ulster, before beating Wales 2-0 on the final day to seal gold on goal difference! Charlotte played fantastically throughout the tournament picking up several assists, winning a number of penalty corners and going close to scoring in each match.

This weekend Charlotte is joined by Lottie, Josefina, Jessica, and Annabel as they all start their England U18 assessments for 22/23 at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

Elsewhere at HC Knole Park, the Women’s 1st team have just returned from their pre-season tour to the midlands. The Women’s 1st team played Loughborough University, the University of Nottingham (twice), and Nottingham Trent University. In four close matches the team registered a fantastic 3-2 win over Loughborough, and three narrow defeats to the two Nottingham universities. Goals were scored by Lottie (6), Evie S (3), Alessia, Boadicea, Mackenzie, Phoebe, and Camille. The team had a brilliant week including various team building activities, university tours and talks, alongside the top-level hockey.

The team look forward to using this as a springboard for a wonderful 22/23 season which starts in two weeks’ time.
