HC Knole Park’s Men’s 1s returned to the top of Invicta Division 3 on Saturday with a convincing 7-1 win against Sittingbourne 3s. The team were looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat last weekend, and it didn’t take long before Noah Marsden Powell slotted the first goal through the goalkeeper’s legs. Duncan Parnis scored the second with a backhand from an acute angle, before Matt Goodwin made it 3-0 at half-time as he smashed in a rebound into the top corner! The second half was more of the same as Knole Park continue to press the home side and it was a superb individual effort from Parnis that made it 4-0. From there the goals continue to come and a two goals from Isaac Dale – a penalty corner and a sublime individual effort, plus another rocket from Goodwin gave the Men’s 1s a 7-1 win and a return to top spot. This weekend the team host Deal in a 1st v 2nd match up.
The Women’s sides are both in action this weekend as the Women’s 1s travel to Sevenoaks 4s and the Women’s 2s host K Sports 2s. The Mixed XI are also in action as they play their 2nd round match against Trinity, Croydon.
