Junior joy in the EH Cup!

HC Knole Park’s juniors progress in the EH Cup!


HC Knole Park’s U14A Girls beat Sevenoaks 5-2 on Sunday in an amazing performance! Things didn’t quite start as planned however as Sevenoaks took the lead in the first few minutes. However, this was short-lived as two superb individual goals from Biba and Evie S put Knole Park into the lead. Biba then added a third after some sublime individual skill from Celia along the baseline. 3-1 at half-time.

Knole Park dominated the second half and a stunning strike from Boadicea made it 4-1, before a good goal for Sevenoaks brought them back to 4-2, however a deft touch by Evie S for her second meant it finished 5-2 to Knole Park and the girls progress into Round 3.

HC Knole Park’s U16A Girls beat East Grinstead on Sunday in a remarkable match. Charlotte opened the scoring in the first minute and the girls were unstoppable from there! Knole Park’s England trio scored thirteen goals between them with Lottie netting a double hat-trick, Olivia scoring four and Anna scoring a hat-trick. Phoebe scored twice, and Alessia and Summer added singles to help Knole Park through to the next round of the EH Cup.


HC Knole Park’s U14A Boys beat Brighton and Hove 4-0 with a superb performance on the south coast. Having played Brighton two weeks ago they knew it would be a tough match, however four goals from the clinical stick of Isaac was enough for the win and the boys progress through to the next round of the EH Plate.


Elsewhere the U14B Girls went 4-0 down to a very good Marden Russets A-team, the U18A Girls received a walkover win from Holcombe HC and the U16B Girls likewise from Canterbury HC.


The draws will be made this week and the next round is on Sunday 21st November.


HC Knole Park’s Men’s 1st Team throw away a 3-2 lead


HC Knole Park’s Men’s 1st team threw away a 3-2 half-time lead at fellow mid-table team Marden Russets 3s. Marden made a great start and when into an early lead, however an inch perfect strike from Duncan brought it back to 1-1. Moritz scored his first 1st team goal with a crisp backhand strike, only for Marden to head down the other end and score themselves. Duncan scored a wonderful solo effort to give Knole Park a slender 3-2 lead at the break. In the second half both sides had chances, however it was Marden who took theirs to make it 3-3. A fair result for both sides. Knole Park host second placed Ashford on Saturday.
