In the 1st v 2nd clash with Tunbridge Wells, the Ladies 1st team knew that a win would put them six points clear and give themselves some space going into the final couple of matches before Christmas. In a dominant display the team produced their best performance of the season so far. Welcoming back captain Ruth Bingham and Lottie Bingham from injuries was a massive positive for the team. As was welcoming Lucie Jones for her HCKP debut! The game started at a ferocious pace with both teams looking for the early break-through. It was however the skills of England U16 Lottie that scored the first goal after a fine individual run. Before the break the team won a number of penalty corners and Josefina Hippe converted with a drag-flick to make it 2-0. On the stroke of half-time, Jess Lewis made a trademark run down the right hand side before pulling the ball back to Anna Faulstich who made no mistake with the finish. 3-0. The second half was an even better performance as the team combined their individual skills which some superb passing and link up play. Player of the Match Lottie Bingham was at the heart of everything positive for Knole Park and her distribution and skills created numerous chances and penalty corners. The goal of the game was a full pitch counter-attack with culminated in a 1v1 with the T. Wells goalkeeper where daughter, Lottie, squared the ball to mum, Ruth, for the finish. Penalty corner drag-flick goals from Anna and Jess Lewis proved how effect their training is becoming for their skill development. Added to very good finishes from Josefina and a penalty corner strike from Lottie meant the final score was 8-0. Congratulations to all the team.
