HC Knole Park’s U12 Boys and Girls travelled to Repton Cup in Derbyshire at the weekend for the annual indoor and outdoor tournament. The U12A Girls won every match, scoring 56 goals in the outdoor tournament and 42 goals in the indoor! Emily B was award the Player of the Tournament too! Emily B top scored with 34 goals. Georgie scored 20 goals; Connie scored 16 & Imogen 13 goals. Liliya and Farrah were rocks in defence, with Edie outstanding in goal.
The U12B Girls came fourth in the outdoor competition winning twice and drawing twice. Indoor their fortunes were better as they finished second with four wins and a draw. Erin was the team’s top scorer with 12 goals. Elisa was outstanding in midfield, scoring seven goals, and Olivia a mountain in defence, as well as contributing with four goals. Evie between the sticks was superb throughout the tournament.
The U11 Boys were first time tourists for KP and whilst they had a tough tournament, they made significant improvements across the two days. Lucas, Ted, and Jude leading the way throughout the weekend.
Elsewhere, Iggy represented the U13 Boys and Annabel, Mali, Daisy, Lilian, Emily, and Liliya represented the U13 Girls in the recent divisional tournament in Nottingham. The Knole Park juniors were selected from clubs across the South East of England to represent the South at the tournament in which was an outstanding achievement for all the young players.
This concludes the 2021/22 season for HC Knole Park in what has been an amazing year for the club. Membership numbers are higher than ever, individual and team successes almost every week, and a lot of great hockey played! Well done to everyone that has been a part of the club.
