Updated: Dec 3, 2019

U12 Boys win Internal Indoor Competition In the Internal Indoor Competition on Sunday it was the U12 Boys who ran out winners over the U10 & U12 Girls. Isaac Dale was superb for the boys scoring a number of goals and showing his class and quality on the ball. Celia Foster was the stand out player for the U12 Girls in midfield & Liliya Dale, sister of Isaac, was excellent in defence for the U10 girls. Louis Wislang was the goalkeeper of the tournament! Duncan Parnis, the Director of Coaching said: “The indoor hockey is great for their core basic skills. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm for indoor hockey in the younger year groups. We are starting to see the benefits of the indoor hockey in their outdoor game now too, as well as an increase in their confidence and enjoyment of being active and playing sport. Well done to all involved!”.

U14B Girls just lose out in local derby Knole Park U14B Girls were also in action on Sunday facing Tunbridge Wells A-Team. In a very closely fought match where both teams had opportunities it was the goalkeepers that shone through for both teams. Player of the Match Ellie Powell in the Knole Park net was excellent, but there was nothing she could have done to keep out the Tunbridge Wells goal. After a defence outletting error Tunbridge Wells attacker was 1v1 against her and she scored the only goal of the match. The girls were very reflective at the end of the match as they have made a great start to the season having to play mostly club A-teams. At the half-way point of the season Knole Park are second in the league due to a superior goal difference over Tunbridge Wells who are now on equal points with them. Burgess Hill remain top! Roll on 2020!
