U10 Girls play superbly in London Tournament!

Two teams of U10 girls travelled to Catford to play against three other clubs, Sevenoaks, Burnt Ash and Blackheath on Sunday morning in the latest U10 Festival. The Knole Park Jaguars were emphatic tournament winners scoring 30 goals in 5 matches and only conceding two. The Knole Park Cheetahs team grew in confidence throughout the festival and produced some exciting attacking play resulting in winning three of their five matches.

Spurred on by the sunshine the Knole Park Jaguars started with 10-0 and 7-0 victories against the two Sevenoaks teams, before 5-0 and 3-1 wins against the two Blackheath teams and a 5-1 defeat of Burnt Ash. The young Knole Park Jaguars team excited the supporters with excellent dribbling and elimination skills and their impressive speed of play which hopefully bodes well for their Kent cup competition in a fortnight. Goal scorers were Emily Bingham (9), Lila Hughes (8), Elisa Hippe (7), Liliya Dale (4) and one apiece for Farrah Hilden and Olivia Walker.

The Knole Park Cheetahs had a fantastic morning too. The Knole Park cheetahs team had a slow start losing narrowly 1-0 in their first two games against one of the Blackheath teams and Burnt Ash. As the morning progressed they made very pleasing progress and recorded three victories; 2-0 and 4-0 against the two Sevenoaks teams and 3-1 against the other Blackheath side. The Knole Park Cheetahs scored 9 goals for and only 3 conceded in their five matches. The goal scorers were Bea Foster (4), Bea Hayward (2), Tess Carman (2) and Olivia Driscoll.

Well done to all the girls who took part and it was exciting to see the improvement and finally watch them in matches after the last two tournaments were cancelled due to frost and storms!

U10 Mixed team were on fire in winning all four of their matches on Sunday!

Making their debut in the U10 Mixed Festival circuit, HC Knole Park’s mixed U10 team won all four of their matches against Gore Court and Blackheath and Elthamians HC. Convincing wins; 5-0, 4-0, 3-1 & 8-2 were enough to win the festival. George Crawford was on fine form as he scored 15 goals throughout the festival. Lucas Dale (2), Olivia Walker (2) & Liliya Dale also scored in a very successful morning for the club. U8s, Flo and Etta, were awesome throughout the festival and George Jones debuted in goal! Well done to all involved!
